BizByte Media Private Limited, CIN U58131PN2026PTC250991, operates BizByte, a free business-news app and the website https://www.BizByte.ai. Our registered office and principal place of business is B203, Marvel Piazza, Viman Nagar, Pune 411014, Maharashtra, India. Contact us at info@BizByte.ai.
You can browse without an account. Account features use the information described below. Our Premium account is also free and requires users to provide the professional information requested in the Premium registration process, which may include a business email address, company, job title, industry and other professional information. There are no paid subscriptions, recurring charges or payment-card collection.
Premium access is provided at no monetary charge. Certain professional information is required to determine eligibility and provide Premium access.
We collect your name, personal email address, password or other authentication information, preferences, and work profile consisting of industry, current role, company name and an optional work email address. For registered users, name and personal email address are required for account creation. Work-profile information may be provided as part of the Premium registration process. A business email address is required for Premium access, while company name, current role and industry may be required or optional depending on the fields marked as required at the time of registration. A business email address is required only if you choose to register for a free Premium account, which currently grants full access to the Service's features including news access without usage limits, unlimited Shorts and Editorials, International News, Bookmarks, Listen, Autoplay, Deep Dive/Ask AI, preferences, Light/Dark Mode and Streak. We use account information for authentication, account administration, support and delivery of requested features. We also use work-profile information. We treat marketing consent as a separate, optional choice from providing a business email for the free premium account.
We collect reading history, searches, saved stories, follows, alert preferences, feedback and personalization settings, in connection with the news-alert, follow and saved-story features we make available. We may also collect information about stories opened, completed or skipped, Shorts watched, Editorials viewed, listening and Autoplay activity, Deep Dive/Ask AI usage, shares, notifications and other interactions with the Service. We use this information to deliver and personalize news, remember your selections, and analyze how you use the Service. We may infer business interests from this information. We do not offer investment recommendations, stock-price services, trading alerts or investment watchlists. We do not use prompts, logs, or inferred interests to create sensitive audience segments.
We collect device and browser information, cookie identifiers, crash and diagnostic logs, analytics events, push-notification tokens and interactions with our website, app and communications. We use these for service operation, security, troubleshooting, analytics, notifications and permitted cookies. We do not request precise device location.
We collect the information you submit through any question, comment or chat feature we make available, as identified within that feature — including whether a submission is public or private, and whether attachments or phone numbers are collected for that feature. We do not currently enable an SMS, referral, social-feed or contact-upload feature; if one is introduced, it will be separately disclosed here with its own notice. We use submissions to respond, provide the requested feature, moderate unlawful or abusive activity and resolve complaints. A public comment and its displayed name can be read, copied and retained by others. A support message or private AI prompt is not made public merely because you send it.
We receive news articles and associated information from suppliers such as NewsAPI.ai. Articles may identify executives and other people discussed in the news. We process this information to prepare, check and publish business-news summaries, answer relevant editorial questions and handle corrections. Editorial information is distinct from subscriber-account information; an account-deletion request does not automatically require removal of lawful reporting.
We do not request precise location, contacts, financial-account details, biometrics or health information. Login credentials nevertheless receive special protection and can qualify as sensitive personal information under applicable law. Messages or articles can contain other sensitive information even when we do not ask for it. Do not submit passwords, confidential employer information or sensitive information about yourself or anyone else in comments or AI questions.
We use Claude, an AI model from Anthropic and OpenAI models and services, to generate short news summaries, typically about 60-65 words, which people verify before publication, accessed through the provider’s standard API service.
Our AI workflow does not enable optional model training on subscriber identifiers, private messages or user prompts; we have disabled any conflicting provider default. Editorial inputs used to prepare news summaries may be retained by our AI providers only as needed to generate and verify that output, consistent with that providers’ data-retention terms for API customers.
Where an AI question feature is enabled, the question and relevant story context are sent to the identified provider to generate a response. The feature identifies the provider, explains the information sent, and obtains any required permission before transmission.
Accepting the Terms is not permission to use personal information for optional model training. Ask us about deletion of AI inputs and outputs; we will explain applicable retention and any technically or legally material limits. We do not promise that deletion of a stored prompt reverses training already completed.
AWS hosts our data in the United States. An external technology team accesses personal information to operate and maintain the service. Google Workspace supports business communications, and Firebase supports app functionality, including core Firebase services and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notifications. Firebase Admin SDK for Node.js is also used for push-notification support. Providers receive information needed for their roles and are subject to appropriate data-protection and security obligations.
AI providers receive the information described in Section 3. News suppliers such as NewsAPI.ai provide editorial content to us; they do not receive user identifiers, queries, IP addresses or other personal information from us in connection with that supply.
We may disclose relevant information to professional advisers and public authorities where necessary for legal advice, compliance, valid legal demands, security or protection of rights. We assess the request and disclose only information reasonably necessary and lawfully permitted. We may disclose limited information in a proposed or completed business transfer under appropriate safeguards, and notify users of material changes where required. We have no current parent or affiliate receiving user data.
We use cookies, Firebase and app identifiers. Essential technologies support security, authentication and requested settings. Other technologies measure activity and help us understand use of the Service.
You may contact info@BizByte.ai to exercise applicable privacy rights, withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis, or raise a privacy concern. You do not need an account to contact us.
Device settings can control notifications. On Apple devices, tracking that requires AppTrackingTransparency authorization occurs only after that authorization. A device permission does not replace any separate legal consent requirement. Resetting an identifier or deleting cookies may remove saved settings; it does not cancel a rights request already associated with your account.
Email marketing and other optional marketing communications require your separate, affirmative opt-in; this consent is separate from account registration and from providing a business email address for the free Premium account. Neither action, by itself, authorizes marketing. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message or by contacting info@BizByte.ai; you may still receive necessary security and account messages. Push notifications can be disabled in device settings. If we operate an email newsletter, it will be identified as such and covered by these marketing-email choices. SMS marketing does not currently exist and will require its own program-specific notice and consent before launch.
Providing a work email for the free premium account is separate from marketing, and does not itself authorize either.
We retain information only for the stated purposes and for applicable legal, security and dispute needs. AWS hosting does not determine our lawful retention period.
Restricted records may be retained for a legal hold or mandatory requirement until that reason ends, with access limited accordingly. Minimal suppression information may remain to honor an opt-out. We require processors to handle deletion consistently, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
Contact info@BizByte.ai to request access, correction, deletion, a portable copy or withdrawal of consent. Use "Privacy request" in the subject if convenient; no special wording is required. Tell us what you request and how to locate the information. Do not send a password or unnecessary identity documents.
Account deletion is available at Home > Profile > Delete Profile and through info@BizByte.ai. These methods delete the account and associated information, subject to the limited retention explained above. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. No subscription cancellation is needed because BizByte is free.
We may proportionately verify identity before disclosing, changing or deleting account data and verify an authorized representative's authority. We respond without undue delay within the applicable legal deadline. Where applicable US law permits 45 days or another period, we meet that deadline and notify you of any permitted extension. Opt-outs are implemented within their shorter applicable deadlines. Our designated privacy/compliance contact is responsible for meeting these service levels.
If we decline a request, we explain the reason and any appeal right. You may appeal by emailing info@BizByte.ai with "Privacy appeal." We provide a reasoned response within the applicable appeal period and information on contacting the relevant regulator if the appeal is denied. These processes do not restrict your right to complain directly to a regulator. We do not unlawfully discriminate or retaliate for exercising privacy rights.
State privacy rights depend on your residence, the law's scope and its application to BizByte. Where applicable, rights include confirmation of processing, access and copies, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-outs from sale, targeted ads and profiling used for legally or similarly significant decisions. Certain states also provide access to specific third-party recipient lists and additional rights to understand or challenge qualifying profiling decisions. We do not use your information to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance or similar significant matters.
You can ask us to review or correct information, withdraw relevant consent and address a grievance at info@BizByte.ai. Our Grievance Officer is Mr. Sourabh Gujral, at our Pune address. We address grievances within the applicable period under the law applicable to the relevant request.

Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 are in force and apply to the relevant processing, BizByte acts as a Data Fiduciary for covered processing. You may request the information and exercise the rights available to you under applicable law, including access to information about your personal data and its processing, correction and completion, updating or erasure where applicable, grievance redressal, and nomination of another individual in accordance with applicable law. You can withdraw consent as easily as you gave it. We explain any loss of a feature that necessarily follows. Where applicable, after using the required grievance process, you may make a complaint to the Data Protection Board of India through its available mechanism.
We comply with applicable Indian transfer restrictions and safeguards, including those for sensitive information while applicable and DPDP restrictions as they come into force. Using the app is not blanket consent to an otherwise unlawful transfer.
BizByte is intended only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly offer accounts to, or knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18. Because our minimum age is 18, the child-specific provisions of the DPDP Act and Rules (which define a child as an individual under 18) and of COPPA (which applies to children under 13) do not apply to processing under this Service. At registration, users must confirm that they are at least 18 years old by selecting the applicable age-confirmation checkbox. We do not otherwise verify age unless required by law.
If we discover that a registered user is under 18, we restrict the account, stop any further collection beyond what is needed to verify age, close the account, and delete the associated information unless retention is legally required. A parent or guardian who believes their child has registered can contact us at info@BizByte.ai to request this.
We are responsible for safeguarding information, including information handled by our vendors. We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk, including encrypted transport and storage where appropriate, secure password hashing or managed authentication, least-privilege access, multi-factor authentication for administrators, security logging, regular patching, contractual security obligations for vendors, and a tested incident-response process. No system can guarantee absolute security. We investigate incidents and notify affected people and authorities when legally required.
We update this notice as practices or law change. We show the new date and provide prominent notice of material changes before they apply where required. We obtain fresh consent for a new purpose when required; continued use alone is not that consent.
