Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 1 October 2026

1. BizByte Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the BizByte app and https://www.bizbyte.ai (together, the "Service"), operated by BizByte Media Private Limited, CIN U58131PN2026PTC250991. Our registered and operating office is B203, Marvel Piazza, Viman Nagar, Pune 411014, Maharashtra, India. Contact info@bizbyte.ai.

BizByte provides business news, including short Al-generated summaries, typically about 60 words, which are subject to BizByte's editorial review process before publication. The app also provides short news-related videos, editorials, International News and related features such as bookmarks, audio listening, autoplay and Al-powered Deep Dive where enabled.

The Service is intended for users in the United States, United Kingdom, India and other locations where BizByte makes the Service available.

Where legally required, we present these Terms for acceptance through an affirmative action, such as a checkbox or tap-to-agree step, when you register or use a feature requiring agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the relevant Service. The Privacy Policy explains our information practices. Acceptance of these Terms does not by itself constitute consent to optional advertising, marketing or optional Al-model training.

Mandatory legal rights take priority over conflicting wording in these Terms.

1A Where information is processed

BizByte is based in India and uses service providers that may process information in India, the United States and other countries. Applicable international transfer safeguards are described in the Privacy Policy. A cross-border transfer does not reduce mandatory protections available to you under applicable law.

2. Age and accounts

You must be at least 13 to use the Service. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review these Terms and authorise your use where required by applicable law. Where local law requires a higher age or a specific consent process, that requirement applies.

You may browse BizByte without an account. Certain features require registration. You must provide accurate information, use only an email address you are authorised to use, keep your login credentials secure and promptly report suspected unauthorised access.

Do not impersonate another person, create an account using false information or evade a justified account restriction.

3. The Service is free

BizByte currently has no paid subscription, recurring billing, free-to-paid trial or cancellation fee. Certain features are available only to registered or Premium users. Premium access is currently free and may require completion of the professional-information form presented in the Service, which may include a work email, company, role and industry.

The features, limits and access levels associated with Guest, Registered and Premium users may change as BizByte develops the Service. Where practicable, material changes to access will be communicated in the Service.

Ordinary device, internet and data charges are your responsibility.

Any future paid offering will be subject to separate pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms and will require your affirmative purchase authorisation. These Terms do not authorise future charges.

4. News summaries and financial information

BizByte summaries condense source reporting and may omit context, become outdated or contain factual or Al-generated errors despite editorial review. Review the original reporting and reliable current sources before relying on a material statement. We may update, correct or remove a story, including when a source corrects it or rights are disputed.

Our content provides general news and information. It is not individualised investment, financial, tax or legal advice, a recommendation to buy or sell a security, an offer of a financial product or a representation that an investment is suitable for you.

We do not assess your financial circumstances, provide brokerage services or execute transactions. We do not provide personalised investment recommendations or investment advice through the Service.

News, Al responses and advertising may discuss companies or markets. Past performance and forecasts do not establish future results. Verify material information and obtain appropriate professional advice before making financial decisions.

For an editorial correction, email info@bizbyte.ai with the story title or link, the statement concerned and supporting information.

5. Intellectual property and permitted use

BizByte and its licensors retain the rights they own in the software, branding, design and original material made available through the Service. Publishers and other rights holders retain their rights in source articles, photographs, headlines, logos and other third-party material.

We do not claim ownership of third-party reporting or exclusive copyright in every Al-generated output. A source credit does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or partnership.

Subject to these Terms and applicable platform rules, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Service on devices you own or control and to read and use the Service for personal and ordinary professional information purposes. Sharing features may be used only as permitted by their design and applicable rights.

This licence does not grant you a right to commercially republish, syndicate, systematically reproduce or create a competing dataset or feed from the Service.

You must not bypass access controls, scrape the Service at scale, redistribute BizByte content, remove rights notices, systematically extract or reproduce content, or use the Service to build a competing feed or service without permission, except to the extent a right cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict fair use, fair dealing or another non-waivable statutory right.

6. Questions, comments and Al responses

Where BizByte makes questions, comments, feedback or chat features available, the relevant feature may identify whether a submission is public, private, sent to support or processed by AI.

You retain rights you already hold in your submissions. You grant BizByte a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, transmit, format, display to the audience you select and process your submissions as reasonably necessary to provide the feature, moderate abuse and comply with law. We may use contracted service providers for these purposes.

Do not submit content that you do not have the right to use, confidential employer information, passwords or another person's sensitive information without a lawful basis.

Al responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Human review of published news summaries does not mean that every live Deep Dive response is reviewed. Do not treat Al responses as personalised professional, financial, legal, medical or investment advice.

We may use feedback and suggestions to improve the Service, but personal information in feedback remains governed by the Privacy Policy.

6A AI providers and processing

BizByte currently uses Claude, provided by Anthropic, through an API service for news-summary generation. Where a Deep Dive or other Al feature uses an Al provider, the relevant feature will identify the provider or otherwise provide the applicable disclosure.

Your input to an Al feature and relevant story context may be processed by the applicable Al provider on BizByte's behalf, subject to the safeguards described in the Privacy Policy.

Naming an Al provider in these Terms does not make that provider a party to these Terms and does not by itself authorise use of your information for optional general-purpose model training beyond what the Privacy Policy and applicable law permit.

7. Conduct and moderation

You must not use the Service to break the law, infringe another person's rights, impersonate others, publish threats or unlawful harassment, distribute malware, interfere with security, send spam, manipulate engagement deceptively or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.

Where user content or reporting features exist, you may report unlawful or abusive material to info@bizbyte.ai or through the reporting controls made available in the relevant feature.

We may review reports, restrict features, remove content or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to address violations, legal obligations, security risks or misuse. Where appropriate, we may provide an explanation and an opportunity to correct or appeal. We may act without advance notice where necessary to prevent harm or comply with law.

8. Advertising, notifications and external links

Advertising may support the Service. Advertising and sponsored placements will be identified as such where required by applicable law.

Links to advertisers, publishers or other third-party services may take you to services governed by their own terms, privacy practices and paywall conditions. BizByte does not guarantee independent third-party offerings and a listing or advertisement does not by itself constitute an endorsement.

Advertising and marketing choices are described in the Privacy Policy. Registration and work-email verification do not by themselves authorise optional marketing. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications and manage device notifications, subject to necessary account, security and service communications.

9. Copyright and other rights complaints

Send copyright, trademark, privacy, defamation, factual-error and other rights complaints to info@bizbyte.ai or to BizByte Media Private Limited, B203, Marvel Piazza, Viman Nagar, Pune 411014, Maharashtra, India.

For a U.S. DMCA notice, provide the information required by applicable law, including your signature, identification of the copyrighted work, identification and location of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, the required good-faith statement and the required statement concerning accuracy and authority to act.

We will assess valid notices and take action where required by applicable law. Where applicable, we may terminate accounts of repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.

10. App platform terms

If you obtain BizByte through Apple, Apple's applicable Licensed Application End User License Agreement and App Store rules also apply to your use of the app. If you obtain BizByte through Google Play, applicable Google Play terms and policies also apply.

Apple and Google operate their respective app stores independently and are not parties to the BizByte service agreement merely because they distribute the app. These Terms do not create obligations for Apple or Google beyond those imposed by their applicable platform terms.

You must comply with applicable export-control and sanctions laws when using the Service. BizByte does not authorise access or use where doing so would be unlawful.

11. Changes, suspension and leaving

We may make reasonable changes to maintain, improve or secure the Service, comply with law or respond to content-rights requirements. Where practicable, we will provide advance notice of material changes or withdrawal of a feature. We may remove content or restrict access immediately where necessary for legal, security or rights-protection reasons.

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. Uninstalling the app does not by itself delete your account.

We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these Terms, serious security or misuse risk, or legal requirement. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue or challenge the decision. We may discontinue the free Service on reasonable notice. We do not promise that any particular feature will remain available indefinitely.

12 Warranties and responsibility

Subject to mandatory rights under applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all content will always be accurate, complete, current or suitable for a particular decision.

To the extent legally permitted, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes an express commitment or a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

BizByte is not responsible for independent third-party conduct solely because the Service links to that party. We remain responsible for our own legally actionable acts and omissions to the extent required by law.

13. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory statutory rights and remedies.

Subject to those protections and to the extent lawful, BizByte will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the Service, including loss of profits or business opportunity, except where such exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.

For claims that can lawfully be limited, BizByte's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed US$100 or the equivalent amount in the applicable local currency.

These limitations do not prevent a user from seeking injunctive or other non-waivable relief and do not limit rights that applicable consumer or privacy law prohibits us from limiting.

14. Claims caused by misuse

You remain responsible, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for harm caused by your unlawful or intentional misuse of the Service or infringement of third-party rights.

Nothing in this section creates a general obligation for an individual consumer to defend or indemnify BizByte for ordinary use of the Service. If an organisation separately authorises a person to use the Service on its behalf, any additional contractual responsibility must be expressly agreed with that organisation. A work email address alone does not bind an employer to these Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

Indian law, including applicable law in Maharashtra, governs these Terms, subject to mandatory protections available to you under the law of your habitual residence.

For matters where a forum agreement is lawful, the competent courts in Pune, Maharashtra, will have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer, this provision does not prevent you from bringing proceedings in a court or consumer forum available to you under mandatory local law, including in your home jurisdiction, or from contacting a regulator. BizByte will not use this section to deprive you of mandatory U.S. state or UK consumer protections.

You may contact info@bizbyte.ai to seek informal resolution, but doing so is voluntary and does not prevent you from exercising a legal right or remedy.

16. Updates and general terms

We may update these Terms when our Service, practices or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Terms with a new effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes where required. Material changes requiring acceptance will be presented for acceptance.

These Terms and any specifically accepted feature terms form the agreement governing your use of the Service. The Privacy Policy governs information handling and is not overridden by any general content licence in these Terms.

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision is not a permanent waiver of that provision.

We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of the business where permitted by law and without reducing mandatory user rights.
